We are beach people
No, no we aren't. We'd like to be, but by the time you pack up the truck, fight over why I am packing "so much", drive 12 hours, unpack, then spend 2 hours making lunches, packing, and then schlep across the hot sand with tents, bags, coolers, etc, just to sit down and before opening your first drink hear, "mommy I have to go poopoo"..... while listening to the other child scream because she suddenly has an intense aversion to sand? sun? water? her sister going poopoo? No, we love the idea of the beach, but putting it into practice is a whole other story. We did manage a 5 day trip to Jamaica sans children. On day 3.5, I was in the lobby of the resort, crying on the phone with Delta, trying to get an early flight home. It was expensive...we begrudgingly decided to spend one more day in paradise.
